Abstract of my Bachelor’s degree thesis is written down here.
In the present project, the layout for an air-cooled condenser of a transcritical carbon dioxide power cycle has been determined. The first chapter reviews the condensing system, air discharge and condenser cleaning system. In the second chapter, general operation and components of the system, including non-condensable gases, the modules used in the condenser, cooling fan system and its components and eventually condensate receiving system has been described. The third chapter deals with the correlations and governing equations. In the fourth chapter, which is the most important chapter of the project, the results of the research are presented in the form of a table. Some output data is the total area of finned tube which is equal to 35531 square meters and the thermal load of each module is 7.041 MW.
